Dominic Badaracco was sentenced to seven years in prison in 2013 for calling a judge and offering to buy help while he was being investigated for his ex-wife's death, The News-Times reported.

Badaracco received early release because parole officials believed he had shown remorse, behaved well behind bars and was unlikely to commit another crime, said The News-Times.

He is currently at the Renaissance East, a 32-bed work release facility in Waterbury, until Oct. 12, The News-Times-reported.
